Beta terms

Updated 7 October 2026

Surfd is a free experimental browser surfing game. It is an independent project and is not affiliated with Valve, Counter-Strike or KSF.

Using the beta

Play locally without signing in, or sign in to submit ranked runs. Treat other players respectfully. Do not impersonate other people, use abusive usernames, deliberately overload the service, evade storage limits or interfere with another person's account.

Public servers have shared chat and map votes. Do not post slurs, harassment, spam, threats or private information about another person. Language filtering and player reports support moderation; moderators may mute, disconnect or ban players who abuse the service. Use Solo if you prefer to play without a room.

Records

The server verifies recorded movement and course completion. This does not establish that every command came from a human. Automated, copied or manipulated performances should not be presented as human records. Invalid or abusive records may be removed and accounts may be restricted.

The beta can change or become unavailable. Physics/map revisions may start separate leaderboards. Records may be corrected or reset, and replay storage is limited. No prize, payment or guaranteed retention is associated with a record.

Points and ranks reflect verified personal bests on current maps. They can change when other players improve, records are moderated, maps change or the scoring rules are adjusted. Repeating a completion does not grant another completion award. Points have no monetary value.

Content and credits

Original maps and imported assets retain their authors' rights: surf_boreas by Syncronyze / granis, surf_utopia_njv by Panzer, and surf_mesa_fixed by Arblarg. Availability in this game does not grant a licence to reuse their work. Provenance and technical notices are available in the reference documentation.

Your account

Keep your login secure. You can delete your account and records from the game's Account panel. See the privacy page for the information used and retained.
